Medical Records Information
​In the state of Nebraska a veterinarian is not required to release patient records unless with written permission from the client except in circumstances of required disease reporting or a subpoena or court order. A veterinarian who releases information under these circumstances is not liable to the client or any other person unless the veterinarian's care and treatment of the animal, or the nature and extent of injuries to the animal, becomes the subject of any civil or criminal proceeding.  ​
